Starting from the memory of my first wound, an accident when I was a child, a mirror fell on me. Through the portal of broken glass prrraAaa-ka-TA una mujer caribeña, shows us the infinity void and asks “What does the voice of my body sound like?”

From ‘25 CF Resident Artist Xenia Rubinos, Tu Pelo No Cabe Ni En la Foto is a wild body-telling performance made of Spanglish poetry, memories, electronic beats and powerhouse vocals set in the absence of the Caribbean. A man woman spirit of no time sings from the bottom of the ocean. Let the whole world hear. Let the neighbors call the police. Let the floor and ceiling break. Growing bigger BIGger BIGGER spilling out over the frame, her hair doesn’t even fit in the photo!
