Pianist and composer Carmen Staaf headlines a matinee jazz performance where she will be joined in part by Chelsea Music Festival 2022 Ensemble-in-Residence, Ulysses Quartet as they share inspirations on Mary Lou Williams’ Zodiac Suite alongside original compositions by Staaf.

On the tails of the release of Carmen Staaf’s new album “Nearness,” DownBeat hails her performance “brilliant, as rugged as it is lush.”
