The Pa’lante Scholars initiative at Ballet Hispánico is a tuition-free, intensive professional training program that opens the door for diverse artists from all socioeconomic backgrounds to build a career in dance without any of the associated financial burdens.

This April, the Pa’lante Scholars are taking the Chelsea Factory stage for the following incredible contemporary ballet performances:

Light Rain by the legendary Gerald Arpino
Audience favorite since its premiere in 1981

Chance of Thunder by Ballet Hispánico’s Artistic Director & CEO, Eduardo Vilaro
An upbeat evocation of youthful insecurities

Guajira by Pedro Ruiz
Originally developed through Ballet Hispánico’s 1998/99 Choreographers Workshop

Panorámica by Norbert De La Cruz III
A piece inspired by the diversity of the Pa’lante Scholars, paying homage to the multitudes within their origins

  • While Chelsea Factory strongly recommends vaccination against COVID-19, proof of vaccination is not currently required for audience entrance to performances and public programs.
